LSU Tiger Coach Les Miles better beat North Carolina Saturday.
There's been a lot of discussion of the state of the North Carolina football team going into Saturday's game with LSU. First came agent gate followed by tutor gate leading to weeks of speculation about which North Carolina players would be eligible to play against LSU. As I wrote this article reports were coming in by the minute which players were in and out.

I "think" it's finally settled. Ther...

Who has the better Heisman Site Florida State QB Christian Ponder or Georgia Tech QB Joshua Nesbitt?
Now I'm not asking who has the best chance to win the Heisman out of Christian Ponder or Joshua Nesbitt. I'm not here to discuss the relative Heisman merits of either. Frankly I think the two players are the best quarterbacks backs in the ACC. Ponder and Nesbitt along with RB Ryan Williams of Virginia Tech are the only offensive players in the ACC that are capable of taking over a game single hand... (continue)
9 Bold Predictions for the 2010 College Football Season.
One of my favorite College Football writers Tony Barnhart just released his 10 Bold Predictions for College Football in 2010 at CBSportsline.com

Plenty of interesting predictions... Among them either TCU or Boise St. in the Rose Bowl, Lane Kiffen will be out as USC head coach in one year, and Nebraska will beat Texas twice. His article got me thinking with what bold predictions do I have? I guess...

We are just going have some fun here. There's hasn't been a single game played, and we are going to give you some bowl projections. Sure why not, let's just see where some of ACC teams ended up. For the full list check out Stewart Mandel's article "Projecting all 35 Bowl Matchups" at CNNSI.com

That's 70 bowl eligible teams out of a total of 120 Division 1 programs. Nearly 60% of Division 1 footba...

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor is The Key to the Virginia Tech season.
As I was looking through some practice reportsof the ACC teams the last couple of days, something just jumped off the page to me. It was this stat line 16 of 17 passes completed for 319 yards and 3 Touchdowns that I found in the DailyPress.com's report of the Virginia Tech's Saturday practice.

Was this FSU's Christian Ponder? Maybe NC State's Russell Wilson or Miami's Jacory Harris. No, No, and ...

The 5 most intriguing ACC conference games of 2010.
It won't be long now! The college football season is nearly here, and it's about time.

At All About Sports we've looked at the ACC's top non conference games, but we have yet to really look at the ACC's most interesting matchups. It was tough to narrow the list down to just a handful of conference games, but here we go with the 5 most intriguing.

1) Georgia Tech vs Virginia Tech 11/4

UNC Football is in deep *!@(#&* now with impending academic investigation.
I'm not sure what else I could title this article. During the NCAA's investigation of the Agents and players at UNC, itwas revealed there that academic improprieties could have been committed. UNC has got a total freaking mess on their hands now.

Let me throw out a couple sites that have been all over this story.

TarHeelFanBlog.comhas put together an article summarizing the hastily throw...

The word on Linebacker Morgan Carter as he transfers from Rutgers to Georgia Tech
Recently former Rutgers linebacker Morgan Carter transferred from the Scarlet Knights to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Jackets have had success with Big East transfers, namely Anthony Allen. Allen was a former Louisville player that averaged nearly 10 yards a carry last season for the Jackets. He's going to be a starter at B-Back in Paul Johnson's triple option offense.

I wanted to know mo...

With Tiger Woods now divorced, when will his game return?
It was reported that Tiger Woods is now divorced. You can read more coverage on Tiger's and Elin's split at ESPN.com. The details and personal affairs ofTiger Woods don't interest me. How these events affect his golf game do.

Woods has suffered through arguably his worst season as a professional. He went0 for 4 in majors. In fact he hasn't a tournament of any sort in 2010. He shot eighteen over ...

Preseason ACC Football Power Poll
Didn't I just write an article about preseason college football polls? Remember I kind of like of them. When the college football season starts I'll do a weekly recap of the ACC Football games and rank the teams following that weekends' games.

I've already put together my thoughts on each team in my ACC Team Predictions, so rather than re-hash the same thoughts, we'll keep the comments to a mini...

Do you like preseason college football polls?
Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson doesn't as reported by the ajc.com. Johnson makes some valid points. You really don't know the teams until they've played. It does probably take about 4 weeks to really to get a feel for how good teams are relative to each other.

Fair enough, but I don't think the problem is with preseason polls, but with the postseason.

Oh no, not another BCS\Playoff artic...
